Brandon is a founder and energy infrastructure executive focused on scaling utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) to support grid reliability, decarbonization, and the integration of renewable power. He is the founder and executive chairman of Plus Power, one of the leading developers, owners, and operators of large-scale battery storage projects in the United States.

Plus Power currently operates approximately 1.6 GW of BESS assets across five U.S. states, with more than 11 GW of additional storage projects in development across more than 20 states. Under Brandon’s leadership, the company has grown from inception into a platform delivering grid-critical infrastructure in major power markets, working closely with utilities, regulators, and long-term capital partners to strengthen system resilience.

In parallel with his U.S. work, Brandon is deeply engaged in international BESS development. He is the founder of Pacific Power Resources, a New Zealand-based energy storage development company focused on enabling renewable integration, grid stability, and emerging power demand from electrification and data infrastructure. Through Pacific Power Resources, he collaborates with utilities, landowners, and policymakers to advance next-generation storage projects across global markets.

Earlier in his career, Brandon worked in clean energy policy and early-stage project development, including roles with the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), helping to pioneer commercial pathways for renewable energy and eventually energy storage. He holds a B.A. in political science from UCLA and is known for bridging policy, finance, and technology to deliver energy infrastructure at scale.

Alex has more than 17 years of experience starting new businesses and structuring deals in the energy industry. Prior to founding Plus Power, he was part of the team that built the energy storage development platform at NextEra Energy Resources. Before NextEra, Alex worked as a consultant and product manager in Asia. He graduated from McGill University with a B.A. in economics and Mandarin.

Naveen has been with Plus Power since 2021 and brings more than 20 years of experience across renewale energy project development, commercial construction, and manufacturing, with extensive experience in solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Prior to joining Plus Power, Naveen served as Chief Procurement Officer of Array Technologies, leading the global sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery of components and products supporting projects worldwide.

Throughout his career, he has held roles of increasing responsibility across project development, manufacturing, procurement, and commercial construction at Array Technologies, Cypress Creek Renewables, Canadian Solar, Recurrent Energy, SPG Solar, and BN Builders. His experience across the full project lifecycle—from development and engineering through manufacturing, supply chain, and project execution—has provided a strong foundation in operational strategy and project delivery.

Naveen holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and an M.S. in Engineering with a specialization in Battery Technologies from San José State University.

Josh has more than 20 years of experience in finance, executive management, complex transactions, and capital markets. Previously, he held the roles of CFO as well as chief operating officer and head of capital markets at 8minute Energy. During his time at 8minute Energy and before that, as senior vice president of finance and capital markets at Recurrent Energy, Josh built and led two industry-leading finance teams. As a board director and executive at each company, he helped drive key strategic, development, operational, and organizational decisions. Josh has raised over $15 billion in the power sector while working on corporate financings, project financings, company- and project-level M&A, and public bond offerings.

Josh is recognized as an industry leader, having been named Project Finance and Risk’s Energy Finance Official of the Year and Borrower of the Year. He has also been nominated by the Platts Global Energy Awards for the Rising Star and Deal of the Year awards. Prior to his 17 years in energy project development, Josh was a public power banker at Morgan Stanley. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Brian has more than 20 years of experience in the electric industry, including project development, M&A, finance, EPC, and legal. Before joining Plus Power, he served in critical leadership roles at NextEra Energy in transmission development, renewables business management, and legal. He also led a business unit at Pike Engineering focused on electric transmission and battery storage design and construction management. Prior to that, Brian was an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, and an officer in the U.S. Army. He earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.S. in engineering management from the U.S. Military Academy, where he also lettered in track & field in shot put.

Genevieve has more than 10 years of experience in the energy and infrastructure space, with most of her career spent advising renewable energy IPPs. Prior to joining Plus Power, she advised IPPs, investors, and lenders on over $15 billion of project and corporate financings. She spent six years as a project finance associate with Milbank LLP before moving in-house as principal of finance and strategic transactions with Intersect Power and, later, as associate general counsel with D. E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI). Before practicing law, Genevieve earned her B.A. in international development studies from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Global Law Scholars and graduated Order of the Coif.

Lucas has more than 13 years of capital markets experience in the clean energy industry and joined Plus Power in 2022. Prior to joining Plus Power, he was vice president of finance and capital markets at Invenergy, where he completed over $3 billion in capital raises and M&A transactions. He has extensive experience leading debt, tax equity, ITC transfer and cash equity transactions for battery storage, natural gas, wind, and solar assets in the United States. Internationally, he has closed clean energy financings in Mexico, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Lucas holds a B.A. in economics from the University of Chicago.

Ken has 30 years of direct experience in the power industry as a grid operator, transmission planner, generation fleet manager, design engineer, consultant, regulator, and executive. As senior vice president of asset operations and performance, he oversees the management and performance of all of Plus Power’s battery storage projects and leads cross-functional teams to address the successful integration, commercialization, and operation of energy storage assets across the United States. He has been a member and chair of various industry boards and national committees.

Ken was the executive director at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), leading MISO’s ‘Operations of the Future’ and business digital transformation department. Prior to MISO, he served as vice president and director of standards and compliance at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), overseeing seven NERC Regional Entities and responsible for NERC Reliability and CIP standards development, implementation, and the alignment of risk-based compliance and registration programs. Ken joined NERC following an extensive power engineering career in Australia at Powerlink Queensland, a transmission utility, and in Texas at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), where he served as vice president of grid planning and operations, overseeing ERCOT’s grid transmission planning, generation resource adequacy, renewable integration, and real-time grid operation activities. Ken earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and a master’s in business from Charles Sturt University.

Krys has nine years of experience in renewable energy finance, with a focus on solar and energy storage project and corporate transactions. Prior to joining Plus Power, he worked at Intersect Power, where he supported the sale of 1.7 GW of solar projects as well as the company’s sale to a new investor. Earlier in his career, Krys worked in Citi’s Power and Utilities group, executing M&A and capital-raising mandates across the energy sector. He holds a B.A. in finance and applied computational mathematics and statistics from the University of Notre Dame.

Edgar has more than 25 years of procurement, design, and construction experience in the power industry. Prior to joining Plus Power, he led various teams responsible for the generation development of traditional and renewable energy projects—including wind, solar, energy storage, and hydrogen—as well as the M&A of gas plants at Southern Power. Edgar holds a Ph.D. in structural engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and an MBA from Samford University.

Bobby has nearly 20 years of experience in renewable energy and has spent the last 12 years developing, building, and operating utility-scale standalone storage. Prior to joining Plus Power in 2018, he was a director at Tesla, where he led utility-scale battery energy storage system efforts and implemented some of the most advanced BESS projects in the world. Bobby competed as an NCAA Division 1 swimmer at the University of Virginia prior to earning a B.S. in finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Fernando has 17 years of experience in the energy sector and has been focused on energy storage since 2015. He is responsible for growing Plus Power’s portfolio by 7 GW and has opened 7 new markets since 2020. Before joining Plus Power, Fernando led the sales efforts at Geli, an economic optimization platform for energy storage, where he grew the customer base nationally and internationally—a key factor in Geli’s acquisition by Hanwha Q-Cells in 2020. Before Geli, he worked at NextEra, focused on the origination of transactions with Fortune 500 companies, bundling solar, wind, and storage technologies. Fernando has a B.S. in physics from the National University in Mexico and a master’s degree in energy science and technology, specialized in energy storage, from ETH Zürich.

Rosemary has more than 25 years of experience as an accounting executive, including over two decades in the renewable energy sector. She leads the company’s controllership, financial reporting, and accounting policy, driving scalable processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP standards, and delivering reliable financial reporting across all project phases.

Before joining Plus Power, Rosemary held senior roles at Wells Fargo, MMA Renewable Ventures, Fotowatio Renewable Ventures, SunEdison, and Radian Generation, managing U.S. GAAP accounting and IFRS for large renewable portfolios. She began her career as an auditor at Deloitte and is a licensed CPA in California with a B.S. in accounting from San Francisco State University.

Vijay has nearly 20 years of cross-functional experience in the energy industry across a variety of disciplines, including legal, M&A, and finance. He leads the origination, M&A, and market analytics teams at Plus Power. Prior to joining Plus Power, Vijay was a senior attorney for NextEra Energy and held roles at the leading global law firms Skadden Arps and Latham & Watkins. He earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School and a B.S. in finance and accounting from the University of Minnesota.

Mike is a cleantech entrepreneur and thought leader in the fields of energy storage and hydrogen. He was a pioneer in thermal energy storage, going back to 2004 when he co-founded and went on to lead Ice Energy. Mike began working with Plus Power in 2018 as its lead director and later joined the management team to build and lead Plus Power’s legal department. Prior to joining the Plus Power management team, he led Bakken Energy, which began as a midstream natural gas company but was transformed by Mike into the leading developer of large-scale affordable hydrogen in the Midwest, in partnership with the Three Affiliated Tribes. As a result of his work in hydrogen, Mike is a regular speaker at major energy conferences, including U.S. Department of Energy events and CERAWeek. He also practiced law for 18 years as a partner with Bennett Jones LLP, a preeminent Canadian law firm recognized internationally as a leader in the field of energy.

Mike sits on various for-profit and not-for-profit boards, including the Committee for Economic Development of the Conference Board. He has served more than 30 years as a volunteer leader of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, including 12 years as chairman of the Canadian affiliate. Mike holds a B.A. and a J.D. from the University of Ottawa, a Master of Arts in law and economics from the University of Miami, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta.
